About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to join our team at the Center for Social Dynamics. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a vital role in implementing evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis programs for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled sessions with clients, unless time-off has been granted or the parents of the client have communicated otherwise.
  • Subbing sessions may be assigned on Saturdays and within your availability.
  • Implement individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans in response to the direction provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader.
  • Travel to Center, Home, and other community settings to deliver services.
  • Render completed sessions daily and write thorough notes.
  • Communicate schedule changes and cancellations to the clinical team immediately.
  • Participate in regular meetings and promptly communicate with Clinical Leaders/Clinical Directors via email and phone.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Flexible availability, with high demand for time Monday through Thursday from 3-8 pm and Saturday.
  • Complete new hire training conducted online and in person.
  • Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID - California mandated).
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
  • Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software.
