This is a full-time sales role that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, company-paid basic life insurance, and a 401k plan with a 10% company match on total contributions for the plan year.
The annual salary ranges from $35,000 to $40,000, paid bi-weekly, along with opportunities for monthly commissions, bonuses, and participation in sales contests for additional earnings.
Employees are entitled to up to 15 days of paid time off and 6 company-paid holidays.
About Dow Electronics: Dow Electronics specializes in aftermarket installations within the automotive sector, focusing on enhancements such as audio systems, lighting upgrades, security alarms, remote start systems, and various safety products. Our team creates tailored solutions to provide clients with automotive features that may not have been available at the time of manufacture.
As an Account Executive at Dow Electronics, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with your Territory Account Manager to manage a designated territory of clients, cultivate new business from existing accounts, and actively pursue new sales opportunities. You will handle daily tasks related to addressing customer needs and maintaining account activities, while also supporting the 12Volt Sales Team during absences. Your role may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, to achieve your objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Territory Account Manager to devise and implement growth strategies for 12Volt accounts, shaping the sales vision for Dow Electronics.
- Identify and nurture new customer relationships while maintaining existing ones.
- Ensure effective communication with customers through in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, online presentations, and screen sharing.
- Assist the 12Volt Sales Team with operational tasks, including online research to generate leads and cold calling potential customers.
- Foster a cooperative team environment that promotes professional development for all employees.
- Proactively enhance your industry knowledge using available resources and information provided by the Territory Account Manager.
- Build relationships with customers to assess their needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Maintain positive relationships with current dealers and resolve customer conflicts promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the Dow 12Volt Team, communicating effectively to achieve common goals.
- Recommend and help procure products based on customer needs, including upselling and suggesting additional solutions.
- Exhibit excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Aim to exceed established Key Performance Indicators.
- Be prepared to travel for short or extended periods, including overnight trips as required.
- Experience in customer service and/or sales environments.
- Ability to professionally address customer issues.
- Resilience in handling setbacks and challenging situations.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Microsoft NAV is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer and use a telephone for extended periods.
- Capable of performing general office administrative tasks.
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach daily.
- Must be able to safely and independently lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive 3-5 days a week for extended hours, including overnight travel as necessary.
- Must maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
$35,000 to $40,000 annually plus commission.
