The Ground-Based Chemistry Educator is tasked with delivering high-quality instruction that meets the objectives of the program and courses. This role requires maintaining an organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning, while also imparting the essential skills and knowledge relevant to the workplace.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Comprehension of educational settings, particularly the needs of adult learners.
  • Capability to foster a positive and effective learning atmosphere.
  • Insight into professional career pathways relevant to the curriculum.
  • Passion, commitment, and enthusiasm for teaching.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's Degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 15 semester credit hours/23 quarter credit hours in a related subject area that supports the curriculum.
  • Preferred: At least two years of experience in teaching related courses.
Employment Status: Adjunct, hourly, non-exempt.
  • Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a specific module, with no guaranteed hours and typically under 25 hours per week.
