Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Registration: Greet and register patients in a prompt, pleasant, and courteous manner, verifying all necessary information such as demographics and insurance details.
  • Medical Record Management: Prepare patient medical records for daily appointments, update profiles, and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Maintain and update current information on appointment schedules, ensuring patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and small balances, balance the cash drawer daily, and process patient referrals.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer telephone calls, screen calls, and provide information as directed, while maintaining a pleasant and courteous demeanor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Skills and Abilities: Must demonstrate current competencies applicable for the position, such as typing or data entry, and possess knowledge of clinic/medical practice procedures, phone systems, and customer service principles.
  • Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds, work in a mostly sedentary environment with some standing, walking, and reaching, and handle periodic stress from handling many calls and patient requests.
