The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient flow and a positive patient experience within our medical office. This position requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:Procedure Reviews and Documentation:
  • Review patient charts to ensure all necessary information for procedures is accurately documented.
  • Correspond and collaborate with medical coders to ensure complete and adequate documentation is in patient charts for previous and upcoming procedures.
Scheduling and Correspondence with Day Surgery:
  • Assist with scheduling of day surgery procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between our office and day surgery.
  • Ensure all necessary orders and paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
Insurance Verification and Eligibility:
  • Verify insurance coverage for new patients and confirm eligibility for services.
  • Communicate insurance details to patients and review of copay/balance that will be due at time of visit.
  • Provide clear explanations of charges and payment options available.
Communicating with Staff:
  • Collaborate with medical providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Relay pertinent patient information and updates to ensure continuity of care.
Maintaining Patient Records and Information:
  • Update electronic medical records with accurate patient information and treatment details.
