Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
  • Utilize advanced estimating software and tools to create detailed and accurate repair estimates.
  • Work collaboratively with the body shop manager and technicians to ensure timely and precise assessments.
  • Effectively communicate repair estimates and timelines to clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
  • Engage with insurance companies to provide necessary documentation and negotiate repair costs when necessary.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, vehicle technologies, and repair techniques through ongoing training.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in automotive repair are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a collision estimator or in a related role within a reputable automotive repair facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of collision repair processes, parts, and labor costs.
  • Proficiency in using CCC estimating software and other relevant tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in assessing vehicle damage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims processes and negotiation techniques is preferred.
