Job Title: Safety Assistant
Location: Hanover, MD
Job Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $17-18/hour
Hours: 8:00AM-4:00PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to provide support to the Safety Manager in a fast-paced transportation office. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment and have excellent phone skills.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule drivers for DOT physicals, BP/DM follow-ups, and BTW training
- Submit drivers' medical cards to DMV
- Run MVRs
- Assist in gathering data from accidents/incidents such as photos, GPS, etc.
- Manage drivers' hours of service records
- Schedule drivers for Safety Meetings
- Order safety supplies
- Responsible for Saucon and driver logs/EDVIR, etc.
- Assist with additional responsibilities as needed by Safety Manager or GM
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Strong Communication Skills (Written/Verbal)
- Proficient Knowledge of MS Office Applications (MS Word, Excel)
- Ability to Work Independently
- Ability to meet Deadlines
