About Us: Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) is a well-established nonprofit organization that has been committed to serving individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health challenges, and age-related medical conditions for over five decades in the Twin Cities area.

Services Offered: MORA provides a comprehensive range of services including Adult Day Services, Case Management, Community Supports, Residential Homes, Respite Care, Therapeutic Recreation, Family Training, and a specialized Summer Camp for Youth with Autism. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) serves as a vital resource for families and individuals in need.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Retention Incentive: $1500 bonus for full-time employees, distributed over the course of one year.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM; no weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate both group and individual activities for clients enrolled in the program.
  • Organize community outings for program participants.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and behavioral support.
  • Ensure proper supervision of clients at all times.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care and risk management plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client participation, progress, and health concerns.
  • Assist with facility upkeep and housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Transport clients safely using program vehicles.
  • Provide assistance to clients during vehicle entry and exit, including securing wheelchairs.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Report any incidents, maintenance needs, or unusual occurrences to the supervisor immediately.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members in their primary language.
  • Administer medications accurately as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all mandatory training requirements.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in the role of Therapeutic Recreation.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Possession of a valid Minnesota driver's license.
  • Willingness to undergo an annual driving record check.
  • Successful completion of a Department of Human Services background check.
  • Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate upon employment.
  • Certification in CPR is required upon hiring.
  • Completion of Medication Administration Certification is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in or completion of a post-secondary program is advantageous.
  • Experience in assisting individuals with personal care needs.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Experience in administering medications and treatments.
  • Knowledge of active treatment philosophies related to leisure services.
  • Must not be excluded from working in government health programs.
  • If using a personal vehicle for work, must have state-required insurance.
