Permit Coordinator Job Description

Lennar Homes is seeking a skilled Permit Coordinator to join our team. As a Permit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in overseeing the Starts Process at our division office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage panels, collect paperwork, and submit for approvals and permits.
  • Enter data into JD Edwards screens and maintain accurate records.
  • Obtain documents from Engineers and Architects to facilitate the permit application process.
  • Prepare and submit applications to various agencies and boards.
  • Coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants.
  • Submit paperwork for permits, enter permitting data, and prepare start packages for construction managers.
  • Obtain inspections needed for closing and maintain schedules for all communities.
  • Meet with county boards and attend hearings on behalf of Lennar to present projects and request approval.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in confined quarters and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Physical stamina to climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment.
  • Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
