MEP Coordinator

As a MEP Coordinator at Facilitates, you will play a key role in supporting the company's strategic initiatives and representing our organization professionally. You will establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners, execute company policies and procedures, and maintain an excellent relationship with owners, design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and project team members.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain start-up and commissioning schedules
• Assist with materials delivery and procurement of MEP items
• Master schedule updates for MEP subcontractors
• Handle permitting processes related to delegated or deferred permits
• Conduct constructability reviews of progress drawings
• Support MEP observation report corrections
• Monitor mechanical and electrical subcontractor performance
• Prepare weekly MEP project observation reports
• Conduct field inspections and ensure specification compliance
• Support the development of QA plans for MEP trades
• Implement GH Phipps' QA program relating to MEP trades
• Attend pre-award meetings and weekly MEP coordination meetings
• Assist in preconstruction efforts and procurement plans for projects
• Review subcontract agreements and owner contracts
• Ensure accountability for MEP-related budgets, costs, and financials
Additional Responsibilities
• Assist with preplanning efforts in coordination with the Project Manager and Superintendent
• Create and maintain activity projections and weekly planners related to MEP trades
• Track production of MEP subcontractors
• Confirm as-built drawings are maintained
• Facilitate 3D coordination drawing processes
• Monitor testing records and reports
• Prepare and monitor mechanical and electrical submittals
• Review RFI's for accuracy prior to submittal
• Coordinate 3-party commissioning
• Address MEP consultant punch list items
• Participate in the Integrated Project Delivery Process
• Manage activity projections and weekly planners
• Manage pricing and change order processes
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or minimum ten years of field experience specific to mechanical and electrical systems
• Minimum eight to twelve years of general commercial construction experience, with a focus on MEP systems
• Proficiency in CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of 3D model simulation software and the Integrated Project Delivery process
• Robust knowledge of the design build process and basic knowledge of reviewing and comprehending contract documents
• OSHA 30 Certification is preferred, as well as OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid Certification
