About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Power & Energy team in Rochester, NY. The successful candidate will be involved in projects with our Energy Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Work under the mentorship and guidance of the Supervising Engineer.
  • Grading and drainage design and review.
  • Foundations design and review.
  • Driveway and drive area design and review.
  • Overall site plan and truck/trailer access, specific review of mobile access plans.
  • Civil engineering lead and advisor for all projects and the capital program.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with internal groups that support projects.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule, and cost of projects.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
    • 3+ years' of relevant post-education experience as a civil engineer.
    • The ideal candidate will have experience working in consulting firms.
    • Proficient with various engineering design tools and software.
    • Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
    • Efficient communications and ability to work with team members not located in the same office through MS Teams, email, and/or telephone calls.
    • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree in Engineering.
    • Essential Professional Licensure/Certification or Eligible for PE Licensing.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $73,100 - $114,000. WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.

WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
