Rail and Highway Design Engineer Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Specialist to join our team in Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in civil engineering and a strong interest in the inspection, design, and construction of rail, track, and culverts.

This is a hybrid position with a mix of field work across Massachusetts, office work with team members, and remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning, design, and construction projects.
  • Perform field inspections.
  • Assist in developing technical design reports, calculations, and memos.
  • Use AutoCAD to design rail alignments, drainage systems, grading, and other guideway elements.
  • Develop construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders and develop content for these meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Basic understanding of civil engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with civil design drafting software.
  • Strong desire to work with and help clients, public stakeholders, and fellow team members.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
