Key Responsibilities:
- Full-time, permanent role focused on Pain Management and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
- Standard work schedule with no on-call duties.
- Engage with new patients and conduct follow-up consultations in an outpatient clinic.
- Collaborate directly with a fellowship-trained physician.
- Administer joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional techniques.
Clinical Duties:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history assessments and physical examinations.
- Formulate and execute personalized pain management strategies in partnership with the supervising physician, utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to support clinical decision-making.
- Monitor patient outcomes, modify treatment plans as necessary, and coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Certified Physician Assistant with an active license in California (or eligibility to obtain).
- Possession of a DEA license.
- Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, or related fields.
- Proficient in performing procedures such as injections and nerve blocks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
