Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-time, permanent role focused on Pain Management and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • Standard work schedule with no on-call duties.
  • Engage with new patients and conduct follow-up consultations in an outpatient clinic.
  • Collaborate directly with a fellowship-trained physician.
  • Administer joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional techniques.

Clinical Duties:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history assessments and physical examinations.
  • Formulate and execute personalized pain management strategies in partnership with the supervising physician, utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests to support clinical decision-making.
  • Monitor patient outcomes, modify treatment plans as necessary, and coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Physician Assistant with an active license in California (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Possession of a DEA license.
  • Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, or related fields.
  • Proficient in performing procedures such as injections and nerve blocks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
