Emergency Medical Technician

The Emergency Department Paramedic is a vital member of the hospital's patient care team, providing advanced life support and medical care to patients in the Emergency Department. This role requires a certified and/or licensed paramedic to work collaboratively with nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provides advanced life support and medical care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Works collaboratively with nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care
- Assists with patient evaluation, treatment, and transport
- Administers medications and performs procedures as authorized
- Maintains a clean, well-organized, and safe patient environment
- High School Graduate or equivalent required
- Graduated from an accredited program/school for paramedics or successfully passed paramedic exam post-military service
- One year of experience as a Paramedic in a 9-1-1 or hospital setting required; 3 years preferred
- Current certification as an EMT-P in the state of Texas
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications
- NRP within 90 days of hire
This is a part-time position in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
