Job Title: Paramedic

Job Summary:

Refinery Terminal Fire Company (RTFC) is seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and responding to medical emergencies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess emergency scenes and provide medical care to patients
  • Manage medical and trauma patients, direct co-workers, first responders, and bystanders
  • Operate EMS vehicles and standard equipment, such as stretchers and patient care monitors
  • Extricate persons from vehicles and perform CPR for extended periods
  • Work with and under the direction of other agencies during regional emergency response incidents
  • Record necessary medical information and maintain unit inventory
  • Maintain the condition of fire stations, vehicles, and equipment
  • Support emergency medical care and other programs by working with local agencies

Requirements:

  • Certified or licensed by National Registry or Texas Department of State Health Services as a Paramedic
  • Possess and keep current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician–Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • Must be able to obtain or have current CPR Certification
  • Must be able to provide emergency care at the Paramedic level under adverse conditions
  • Must obtain system credentialing as required by the Medical Director
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent
  • Must be 18 years old or older (no age cut-off)
  • Possess a current, valid US driver's license with good driving record
  • Able to verify eligibility to work in the United States
