Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports and analyses to assist senior management and stakeholders in making informed choices. This encompasses the creation of financial-status reports, cash flow forecasts, and profitability assessments.
- Process Enhancement: Spearhead initiatives to improve financial processes and controls. Implement best practices for budgeting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- System Optimization: Supervise the successful implementation and enhancement of NetSuite to ensure it fulfills the organization's requirements for thorough data and reporting.
- Operational Metrics and Benchmarks: Establish and monitor metrics that align with departmental and organizational objectives, enhancing performance and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial compliance mandates. Maintain internal controls and protect assets.
- Financial Oversight: Manage accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to refine budgeting procedures and conduct variance analyses.
- Inventory Oversight: Direct the cycle inventory count process, ensuring data accuracy and proper costing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 6 years in accounting with a demonstrated history in leadership positions. Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with NetSuite is highly preferred. Strong skills in financial data analysis, Excel, and project management are essential.
- Certifications: Professional credentials such as CMA or CPA are advantageous.
- Compliance Acumen: Thorough understanding of finance laws, accounting standards (GAAP), and tax regulations.
- Leadership and Communication: Capability to lead a team, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and present financial information clearly.
The perfect candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust financial background and practical experience in implementing and enhancing financial systems. They should excel at developing operational metrics, refining processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Furthermore, they should be able to collaborate closely with senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations that contribute to the organization's success.
