Your Role as an MRI Technologist:

Under general supervision, your primary responsibilities will include performing neuro and body scans on patients across all age groups, adhering to the facility's age-specific guidelines. You will transmit images for diagnostic evaluation and maintain the hospital's computer system with the status of these examinations. The MRI technologist is expected to deliver exceptional customer service and foster respectful relationships while upholding the facility's principles.

The Value You Bring to the Team:

  • Conduct all imaging procedures according to established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification prior to exams. Educate patients about the procedures and screen for any contrast allergies.
  • Complete exams efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing idle time. Ensure effective communication regarding patient transport and discharge.
  • Safely operate all imaging equipment, including scanners and injectors, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary for performing scans on patients of all ages, adjusting protocols as needed.
  • Screen patients of childbearing age appropriately and minimize radiation exposure to patients, families, and colleagues. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Perform quality assurance on MRI scanners.
  • Review all images from exams, repeating them as necessary to achieve optimal results. Notify physicians of any urgent findings according to established protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR)
  • State licensure where applicable
  • Associate's or Technical degree in a related field
