Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a skilled MR Technologist to enhance our services. We are redefining radiology by emphasizing its importance in diagnosis and treatment. Together, we can elevate the standards of care.

The MRI Technologist operates MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluations. This role involves providing expert leadership and technical guidance to MRI operations, ensuring that all services meet professional standards while delivering exceptional patient care. A commitment to ongoing education and knowledge enhancement in the field, including advancements in procedures and disease understanding, is essential.

This position is per diem, with shifts available from Sunday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on-call from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, requiring 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties (80%):

  • Conducts standard and complex MRI examinations on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to procedures for any safety concerns or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for MRI scans, clearly explaining the process and positioning them for optimal imaging.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters as necessary to ensure quality images.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and colleagues.
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and sanitary, promoting safety for all.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

Support Duties (15%):

  • Ensures all equipment is functioning properly; cleans and sanitizes tools after each use.
  • Assists in updating the MRI protocol manual and implementing software enhancements.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering expertise and resources.

Additional Responsibilities (5%):

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
