As an MRI Technologist, you will operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. You will provide expert leadership and technical assistance to MRI operations, ensuring adherence to professional standards while delivering exceptional patient care. Continuous self-improvement in understanding the field, associated diseases, and evolving procedures is essential.

This position is per diem, with shifts available from Sunday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on-call responsibilities from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, requiring 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties (80%):

  • Conducts both routine and advanced MRI examinations on specified body areas for physician review in diagnosing and treating patient conditions, with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to procedures to identify any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for MRI scans, clearly explaining the process and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters as necessary to ensure quality images.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Engages in communication with medical staff, patients, and their families as needed.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and colleagues.
  • Maintains accurate records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the workspace organized and clean, promoting safety for all.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

Support Duties (15%):

  • Maintains MRI equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Assists in updating the MRI protocol manual and implementing software enhancements.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering resources and technical knowledge.

Additional Responsibilities (5%):

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
