Position Overview:

As a key member of the Medical Staff Office, the Credentialing Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications to deliver care at Partnership Health Center (PHC). This position involves the management of credentialing processes, including the evaluation of provider applications and documentation to maintain compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the assessment and organization of practitioner applications, ensuring that all candidates are qualified to provide services at PHC.
  • Maintain comprehensive credentialing records while ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
  • Collect and analyze documentation related to providers' education, training, work history, licensure, and malpractice history.
  • Administer and update the internal roster of health professionals to guarantee accurate and current information.
  • Facilitate the enrollment of providers in national databases and prepare applications for insurance providers.
  • Manage profiles for credentialing systems and respond to external information requests.
  • Coordinate Credentialing Committee meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions and decisions.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; relevant experience in a medical office is essential.
  • Four years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred, with a focus on credentialing.
  • CPCS certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in using office software and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
