Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Communications Test Engineer to join our dynamic Test Engineering team within the Mission Systems Field Engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining Radio communication test station equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and test radio communication components using software, development language, schematics, and integrated development environment specified by the organization.
  • Develop and maintain radio communication test equipment and analyze software/hardware for a diagnostic test environment.
  • Support test station efforts including requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, and maintenance for all test software activities.
  • Prioritize, handle, and lead multiple tasks in a production environment.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware for test equipment development.
  • Communicate with an engineering team, functional team, and program leadership.
  • Coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules.
  • Prepare and present project/technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
  • Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments.
Requirements
  • Strong computer skills and experience with software development (Python) and hardware debugging.
  • Experience with diagnostic of radio communication, components testing, and reading wiring schematics.
  • Must have experience supporting automated test stations or systems.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable DoD Secret clearance prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong technical writing skills and an ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team of professionals.
  • Ability to interface ATE test software with laboratory and production tests instrumentation such as but not limited to oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and/or direct current power supplies.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language for storing and processing information in a relational database.
  • Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e., documenting something that is already built).
  • Design and implement activities required to deploy the project test solutions to worldwide destinations.
