We are seeking a skilled Pediatric RN to join our team at JDCH Specialty Center. As a Pediatric RN, you will provide direct patient care to children in a specialty unit, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to children in a specialty unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Current RN license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Other certifications may be required depending on the specific unit and patient population.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The Pediatric RN must be able to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods of time. The work environment is typically quiet, with minimal exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
