Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical systems and advanced engine repairs.
- Conduct road tests to identify cause of complaints and ensure quality of repair work.
- Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
- Coordinate work schedules and prioritize workload to meet customer needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
- Basic tools required.
- Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter and self-sufficient approach.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
