Bridges Public Charter School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as an Inclusive Education Specialist for a 1st grade non-categorical self-contained classroom.

As a member of our school community, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students with high level special needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and experience working with diverse student populations.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.

We offer a competitive salary range of $57,500-$88,500 per year, based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience.

About the Job
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Experience: 1-2 years of teaching experience in an urban school setting
  • Education: Dual Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage an early elementary non-categorical self-contained classroom
  2. Develop and implement discrete trial instruction, social skills instruction, and behavior plan implementation
  3. Collaborate with related service providers, special education coordinator, curriculum coordinator, ELL Teacher and student parents
  4. Implement and maintain students Functional Communication Protocols and Behavior Protocols
  5. Participate in the IEP process by writing present levels, IEP goals, and providing thoughtful reflections during team meetings
  6. Support the creation of a classroom culture and environment that develops and nurtures the emotional, cognitive and social abilities of the students
