The role of a FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST involves executing routine repairs and preventative upkeep of property and equipment, overseeing utilities, and ensuring the safety of guests and staff in accordance with all corporate and brand guidelines as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responds promptly and courteously to all inquiries, complaints, or requests from guests.Conducts maintenance and repair tasks on both the interior and exterior of the premises, including guest rooms, laundry, kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, HVAC systems, water treatment facilities, and swimming pools.Performs inspections to identify Preventative Maintenance requirements.Safeguards inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, and furnishings.Timely replenishes supplies to minimize waste and ensures equipment is ready for subsequent shifts.Completes assigned work orders efficiently and within established guidelines.Documents and reports completed repairs and items needing further attention.Maintains consistent attendance, punctuality, and adheres to designated work, break, and meal periods.Upholds high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the dress code.Performs additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment typically includes:

Ability to work in various weather conditions.1/3 to 2/3 of the time spent near mechanical components, with exposure to vibration and electrical hazards, and in elevated or precarious positions, including ladders and extreme temperatures.Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals throughout the day.Moderate to occasional loud noise levels consistent with a hotel environment.
