Job Overview:


We are in search of a Vice President for Global Operations within the Measurement, Communications & Testing (MCT) Division, reporting directly to the Division General Manager.

This essential position will collaborate closely with divisional leadership and Business Units (BU) to enhance operational and logistical success.

The Vice President will be responsible for formulating and implementing operational strategies, policies, and processes while partnering with BU Management on initiatives aimed at improving operational performance.


Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of operational excellence across all business units.
Oversee operational due diligence for mergers and acquisitions to ensure effective integration and realization of synergies.

Establish a comprehensive vision for MCT Operations and Supply Chain, driving execution across all BUs utilizing operational excellence tools and methodologies.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with Business Unit Managers, Plant Directors, Engineering Teams, Strategic Purchasing, and HR.

Develop current and future Value Stream Process maps and plan improvement initiatives to achieve productivity savings aligned with budget expectations.

Standardize an effective Sales & Operational Planning process.
Ensure all facilities maintain reliable monthly Production schedules and backlog visibility to facilitate timely shipments.
Collaborate with Plant leaders to identify Capital projects that ensure production viability and continuity.
Coordinate and implement Cost Reduction and Six Sigma initiatives.
Facilitate OPEX training and establish effective visual communication across all division sites.
Direct the Supply Chain Function towards achieving business performance metrics.
Define the organizational structure and capabilities necessary to drive results and foster a strong culture.

Main Objective:
Instill a culture of continuous improvement in operations and supply chain processes across the division.

Identify capability requirements for each BU and develop, motivate, and train personnel across all locations in alignment with divisional leadership.

Implement production strategies in low-cost regions and mentor teams to achieve operational maturity.
Formulate a division sourcing strategy and develop low-cost sourcing capabilities to meet ongoing cost targets.
Coordinate OPEX and Six Sigma Kaizen events throughout the Division.
Enhance Working Capital, product profiles, costs, profits, and availability metrics in accordance with Divisional Budget goals.
Act as a key facilitator for the successful integration of acquisitions.

Accountabilities:
Ensure a safe working environment that prioritizes Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations.
Maintain and enhance the Value Stream Mapping process while implementing OPEX initiatives to achieve performance improvements.
Commit to OPEX targets and deliver a comprehensive training plan with Plant and additional resources.

Assess the operational capabilities of new acquisitions to ensure seamless integration into the division without compromising results.

Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally, to engage with all division sites regularly.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within operations in an Electronics or Electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated executive presence with the capability to establish vision and strategy for Operations.
Proven success in relocating operations to global, low-cost regions.
Effective communication skills to convey information to executives and managers.

Ability to translate extensive knowledge of business systems and inventory control into actionable results for production and supply chain teams.

History of hiring, developing, and mentoring operations talent while fostering a strong succession pipeline.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP and internal software systems.
