Position Title: Licensed Plumber

Role Summary: We are seeking a qualified Plumber to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and maintaining plumbing systems within various government facilities. The work schedule is Monday through Friday and is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the upkeep of plumbing systems and building infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with General Maintenance Workers on HVAC system maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all plumbing-related equipment.
  • Identify deficiencies and communicate them to supervisory personnel.
  • Oversee subcontractors during their assignments and provide necessary reports.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Plumber License (Journeyman or Master).
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including:
    • Water fountains
    • Filtration systems
    • Restroom facilities
    • Backflow preventers
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and push/pull items (up to 100 lbs).
  • Extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility for handling tools and equipment.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
