Position Title: Valet Attendant
Department: Parking Operations
Location: Houston, Texas

Global Parking Systems specializes in the management of parking facilities, valet services, and shuttle operations at various locations. We collaborate with SP Plus Parking Corporation, a prominent name in the parking management industry. Our mission is to enhance the parking experience for all consumers, ensuring it is both enjoyable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Function: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of electric carts while transporting passengers.

Core Duties:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of cart interiors, monitor battery levels, log trip counts, and assist passengers.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours, arriving on time and in proper uniform.
  • Maintain a valid state-issued driver's license while on duty.
  • Ensure an acceptable driving record is upheld.
  • Provide courteous assistance to customers, addressing inquiries and directing them to management when necessary.
  • Report any accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to management.
  • Communicate any hazards such as debris or spills to the garage office.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of garage and terminal areas.
  • Assist customers with luggage and travel items as needed.
  • Support management with additional tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements: To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively.

Education/Experience: Less than a high school education or one month of related experience, training, or a combination of both.

Licensing: A valid state driver's license is required, along with an acceptable driving record.

Work Availability: Shift requirements may vary based on location needs, including potential weekend or overnight shifts.

Language Proficiency: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively communicating with customers and colleagues.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using American currency.

Professional Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance, wearing the complete uniform at all times.

Physical Requirements: The role involves regular standing, walking, and handling equipment and luggage. Employees may need to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Benefits: After 90 days, full-time employees are eligible for dental, medical, and vision insurance, as well as paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation time.
