Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a territory management plan to grow our market share and enhance client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory management plan to achieve desired sales objectives.
- Source new business opportunities with prospective and existing clients.
- Present GFL Environmental's full-service capabilities to potential customers, including waste services, industrial services, vacuum services, and emergency response.
- Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing a thorough understanding of our diverse service offerings.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times to promote the brand.
- Participate in industry tradeshows and events.
- Assist in the completion of bid/proposal requests and timely follow-up to secure new business.
- Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between customer and operational staff.
- Develop and maintain market intelligence with assistance from Customer Services and Sales Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with a preference for Chemistry.
- Five (5) years of experience in the environmental or industrial service industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory to make sales calls to current and prospective new customers.
- Passion for business excellence with exceptional follow-through.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
