Proven Performers Wanted

We're seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to join our team at ATI, a leading materials science company. As a key member of our Forged Products business unit, you'll play a critical role in driving strategic growth and maximizing market share in the Aerospace and Defense market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute customer and market commercial strategies across all ATI Forged Products facilities.
  • Develop and implement customer/market strategies to maximize ATI's forging opportunities.
  • Monitor key metrics for strategic customers and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Sell ATI Forged Products capabilities and solicit inquiries from established and potential customers.
  • Lead and direct program teams while coordinating activities within ATI and local sales teams.
  • Coordinate and maintain key customer relationships, including long-term agreements.
  • Negotiate and obtain orders from customers, arriving at mutually acceptable terms and conditions.
  • Provide accurate monthly and annual sales and order forecasts, and supporting data to keep Sales management informed of changes in the marketplace.
  • Determine and communicate the identity of major competitors for each customer, including market share held by each competitor and ATI Forged Products.
  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising communications to and from assigned customers, serving as the formal customer liaison.
  • Disseminate information and coordinate with Estimating, Pricing, Quality, Production Control, and Manufacturing Departments to ensure ATI Forged Products proposals meet customer and company requirements.
  • Organize and make effective formal sales presentations to motivate desired customer response.
  • Provide customers with requested information concerning the progress of open orders to develop customer confidence in ATI Forged Products.
  • Provide necessary support for continued compliance to ISO 9001:2000/AS9100A.
  • Coordinate submissions by the Quality Department for customer review of non-conforming material to assure compliance to contractual requirements, procedures, and timeliness.
  • Assist Finance Dept. in resolving complex or deadlocked problems that cannot be reconciled by Accounts Receivables collection procedures.
  • Responsible for effective handling of customer complaints to assure prompt resolution and desired customer relations.
  • Provide work guidance, counsel, follow-up, and motivation to account personnel for efficient customer service.
  • Recommend to and assist Director, Sales and Marketing in formulating and implementing professional development of personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 6 years industrial business-to-business sales experience or technical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Sales experience within forging and metals.
  • At least 1 year of people leadership and management experience.
