Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes and meet production targets.
  • Manage the process of current product improvement by coordinating feedback and decisions on technical/technological modifications to existing products.
  • Assure timely and efficient introduction of new and improved products.
  • Forecast and maintain operational and capital budgets to realize adequate return on investment.
  • Coordinate and lead teams of multi-disciplined personnel and develop efficient management and organizational structure.
  • Ensure employees meet performance objectives, develop high potential employees, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure plant facilities, processes, and programs meet legal and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Machine shop experience and ability to train employees on machines is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical subject area.
  • 10 or more years of experience in a high-paced heavy industrial environment, including management and/or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a machine shop is 100% required.
  • Ability to lead a diverse workforce and effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and delegate optimally to achieve competing priorities and objectives.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience and proven leadership skills with process and procedure improvement.
  • Strong interest in coaching, motivating, and developing teams and individuals.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Be willing to travel to other plants as needed.
