Overview of Community Engagement: The Community Engagement department at Miami City Ballet plays a crucial role in removing barriers to arts education and access. Through innovative and creative learning opportunities, we reach thousands of families and young individuals each year, enriching their lives through the arts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in youth and arts education.
  • Highly organized, tech-savvy, self-motivated individuals with program coordination experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate coordination and collaboration across various program areas within Community Engagement.
  • Serve as a liaison among departments to ensure effective communication and resource management.
  • Support all special projects and community initiatives.
  • Prepare for and attend community programming, performances, and events.
  • Coordinate logistics for community programming, including transportation, catering, and collaboration with production teams.
  • Plan meticulously to enhance the overall experience of performances.
  • Actively participate in Community Engagement events and programming.
  • Ensure successful planning, implementation, and evaluation of community initiatives.
  • Manage event calendars to ensure seamless organization.
  • Oversee marketing deadlines and organize materials for events.
  • Track and input program and event data accurately.
  • Provide onsite coordination for programmatic activities in various venues.
  • Manage inventory needs for Community Engagement programs.
  • Assist in the grant application process, ensuring compliance with deadlines and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with invoicing and reimbursements.
  • Engage positively with all staff, parents, children, and community members.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Exhibit reliability and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Passion for arts education and community programs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, or Creole preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Must pass background screening level 2.
  • Experience in dance education, social work, or youth engagement preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
