Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer to join our Community Design Team at Wade Trim. Our team is dedicated to improving infrastructure in Cleveland and Columbus, and we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to our mission.

About the Role:
As a Professional Engineer, you will be responsible for designing civil projects, developing applications and permits, and preparing engineering reports and specifications. You will also conduct research and development, monitor project budgets and schedules, and communicate with other design engineers. Additionally, you will promote sales, prepare project status reports, and maintain excellent client relations.

Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and at least five to fifteen years of related experience. You must be a licensed Professional Engineer and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Designing civil projects, including water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, roads, bridges, and utility infrastructure improvements.
  • Developing and completing applications, permits, engineering reports, and specifications.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations to support design activities.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineer's construction cost estimates.
  • Conducting research and development for projects.
  • Monitoring and maintaining project and task budgets and schedules.
  • Preparing project status and other reports.
  • Communicating project details with other design engineers.
  • Promoting sales.
  • Preparing and reviewing scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
  • Assisting with proposals, marketing, project reports, and technical presentations.
  • Conducting on-site inspections as needed.
  • Attending and/or conducting client and project meetings.
  • Attending various meetings, including pre-design, plan review, pre-construction, professional organization, staff, and seminars.

Education and Experience:
We require a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and at least five to fifteen years of related experience. A licensed Professional Engineer is also required.
