Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CIP Operator to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. in the Dairy Production department. As a CIP Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining sanitary equipment and environment for the production of food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain sanitary equipment and environment for the production of food products
  • Operate, monitor, and understand CIP systems and COP systems
  • Manually and hand clean silo and pipeline parts
  • Operate and maintain equipment in the CIP room
  • Receive bulk chemicals
  • Maintain accurate written cleaning reports and checklists
  • Clean production hallways and assist in cleaning all plant areas as needed
Requirements
  • Good understanding of sanitation practices and principles, including manual and automated cleaning
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Ability to climb ladders to clean overhead piping
  • Basic computer, reading, and math skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems in the work area with little supervision
Work Environment

The work environment is wet to damp, with high pressure hoses, cleaning chemicals, COP and CIP systems. Hearing protection is required due to the noisy work environment. Industrial strength chemicals are used on a nightly basis, and temperatures vary from 35 to 100 degrees.
