Fluid Filler Operator

We are seeking a skilled Fluid Filler Operator to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. As a key member of our dairy production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining fluid filling and packaging equipment, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

• Operate and clean fluid filling and packaging equipment to maintain optimal performance and product quality.
• Clean and sanitize the environment of the filling room to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain sanitary equipment and environment for the packaging of fluid products, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company standards.
• Operate fluid filling equipment at a proficient level, filling products into various container sizes, including gallons, half-gallons, and single-serve containers.
• Operate the CIP and COP systems to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
• Operate the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Disassemble and reassemble fluid fillers and associated equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
• Responsible for manual and hand cleaning of casers, labelers, conveyors, fillers, filler parts stackers, walls, drains, empty case conveyors, control panels, and any equipment involved in packaging.
• Operate and maintain equipment of the fluid packaging area, including labelers, conveyors, fillers, casers, stackers, etc.
• Maintain accurate written production records to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform laboratory tests and monitor weight control of product to ensure quality and consistency.
• Produce a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and regulatory standards.

The work environment is damp, wet, and includes working with high-pressure hoses, cleaning chemicals, and CIP systems. Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying are necessary. Work involves equipment that is moving, and the work environment is also noisy, requiring hearing protection. Personal protective equipment is required when using sanitation chemicals and equipment.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently.
• Must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities.
• Ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift.
• Must have basic computer skills, including Man Machine Interface (MMI) and data entry.
• Ability to climb ladders to clean conveyors.
• Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player).
• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.

• Previous manufacturing experience.
