Key Responsibilities

The Echo and Vascular Imaging Technician will perform high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds in accordance with established guidelines. This role involves close collaboration with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and radiologists. The technician must demonstrate initiative and independent judgment, ensuring optimal patient positioning and imaging techniques to achieve superior ultrasound results.

Job Duties

  • Conduct echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Provide care to a diverse patient population, including adults and seniors.
  • Utilize knowledge of human anatomy to produce accurate diagnostic images.
  • Participate in on-call duties and assist with shift coverage as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Certification in echocardiography.
  • Registered in both adult echocardiography and vascular ultrasound.
  • Graduated from an accredited ultrasound/sonography program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must be registered in one modality and obtain registration in the other within six months.
  • Proximity to the facility is preferred for on-call responsibilities.
