Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Technician to join our team at the Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA). As a Planning Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation of fleet ITS, troubleshooting ITS hardware and software, and assisting with general IT and planning department needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in geography, urban planning, engineering, or computer science, and be able to learn new processes and applications quickly. You will be responsible for maintaining tracking logs of work scheduled and completed tasks, securing and documenting custody control of ITS and IT assets, and installing, troubleshooting, and repairing fleet ITS as directed by the Transit Planner.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to gain experience in the public transit industry. You will have the chance to work on a variety of projects, including collecting field data using GIS, installing and removing signage throughout the service area, and providing basic helpdesk assistance to users.

Key Responsibilities:
