We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fireplace Service Technician and Installer to join our team at Martin Sales and Service Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, troubleshooting, and servicing wood, gas, and pellet fireplaces and stoves in customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Discuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems or verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
  • Generate work orders to address deficiencies in need of correction.
  • Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and detect and locate malfunctions.
  • Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
  • Recommend, develop, and perform preventive and general maintenance procedures such as cleaning, equipment oiling, and changing filters.
  • Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean MVR.
  • Team players at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to work flexible hours/days.
  • Carpentry skills and experience.
  • Aware of basic electrical concepts and skills.
  • Troubleshooting experience with DMM.
  • Mechanically intuitive, able to see how things work. Good with tools and machinery.
  • Able to lift heavy materials in excess of 80 lbs.
  • Able to climb and secure ladders to protect company and customer assets.
  • Able and confident to securely connect gas line fittings.
  • Proficiently operate office equipment as required, such as computers, email, and internet.
