Key Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
  • Lead risk assessments related to Food Safety and manage quality records in alignment with Global GMP lifecycle policies.
  • Support the enhancement of the Food Safety Policy and site HACCP protocols.
  • Facilitate efficient operations within the production area to meet production goals.
  • Monitor and optimize existing processes to ensure compliance with GMP standards.
  • Collaborate with various Operations sub-functions to track critical production parameters and respond to escalations.
  • Oversee equipment performance and address any issues that may lead to non-conforming products.

Major Duties:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing GMP food safety engineering and validation for the commercial production of regulated products.
  • Executing projects focused on food safety and optimizing manufacturing processes to align with Gold Standard Policies.
  • Handling leak management and sanitation responses during food safety incidents.
  • Training shop floor technicians on food safety protocols.
  • Conducting investigations into quality events and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborating with other departments and suppliers to identify and resolve root causes.
  • Motivating and training facility employees and third-party staff as part of the food safety program.
  • Partnering with Engineering for the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Co-developing and executing qualification and validation protocols.
  • Leading incident reviews to address microbiological non-conformities and recommending improvements.
  • Optimizing documentation for quality systems, cleaning, validation, SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety protocols.
  • Ensuring that Food Safety documentation is maintained in an audit-ready state, meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring effective utilization of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce quality products at optimal costs.
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Implementing and maintaining controlled production processes.
  • Understanding business needs and customer requirements.
  • Building a network of internal and external resources to achieve objectives.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Food Science, Biotechnology, or Microbiology.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, or production, preferably in a GMP environment within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • The ability and willingness to work on a shift pattern.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems, POMS, or MES is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food microbiology, pathogens, and food safety standards.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to respond effectively to situations.
  • An understanding of engineering principles and practices.
