Position Overview

IDR Healthcare is currently in search of a Healthcare Coding Specialist to join our esteemed team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and is a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough documentation and coding assessments within designated work queues across various medical specialties.
  • Leveraging available coding resources and expertise to ensure accurate coding assignments.
  • Staying updated with the latest coding practices to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and audit requirements.
  • Reporting trends and issues through the appropriate channels within the organization.
  • Engaging in ongoing education related to coding practices and maintaining necessary certifications.
  • Addressing complex coding challenges and participating in project-based work as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • At least 1 year of professional coding experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with a solid understanding of medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with KPHC/EpicCare systems.
