About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at GEI Consultants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting on a variety of projects throughout the region, including buildings, infrastructure, and transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform geotechnical analysis and design, and present data and results.
  • Observe and manage field explorations, in situ infiltration testing, and construction activities.
  • Design and implement geotechnical instrumentation projects.
  • Assist in preparing full design packages with calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist in overseeing construction of specialty geotechnical items such as deep foundations, tiebacks, and grouting among others.
  • Write letters, reports, and other deliverables.
  • Develop proposals and participate in other business development activities.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering; Master's in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • Geotechnical course work required. Structural course work a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Must have passed the F.E. exam, Professional Engineer's license a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel to job locations as needed.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Ability to perform field work on active construction sites without restrictions, and in inclement weather if required.
