Core Responsibilities:

The primary function of this role is to serve as a DevOps engineer focused on scripting and automation within the AWS ecosystem. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing automation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and promoting it through a CI/CD pipeline
  • Enhancing existing processes, including re-hydration
  • Utilizing AWS services, such as Elastic Kubernetes Service, to construct infrastructure

Additional Duties:

  • Refining and optimizing current build and deployment processes across various products
  • Collaborating with Application Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to establish deployment best practices
  • Upholding security and reliability standards across the organization
  • Designing and implementing new application components and infrastructures
  • Establishing and maintaining a continuous integration environment
  • Addressing and resolving product and infrastructure issues in production settings
  • Creating configuration scripts for automation tools and automating recurring tasks
  • Monitoring and managing cloud-hosted applications and integrations
  • Participating in engineering design and deployment planning sessions

Complexity of Role:

This position involves collaboration with partners across 1-2 business functions to align technological solutions with strategic business objectives. The role supports several moderately complex business initiatives and contributes as a project team member.
