The successful candidate will be responsible for administering daily medical coverage, evaluating and documenting athletic injuries, and providing training and information for the prevention and recognition of common injuries and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer daily medical coverage for respective collegiate athletic teams, including practices and events.
  • Travel with sports teams to provide care and support.
  • Evaluate and document athletic injuries, including providing treatment and rehabilitation services.
  • Provide training and information for the prevention and recognition of common injuries and illnesses within athletic populations.
  • Administer preventive or rehabilitative treatment to athletes engaged in various university sports.
  • Oversee the athletic training facility, including maintenance of equipment and inventory of supplies.
  • Establish and maintain accurate records of athletes for eligibility purposes.
  • Maintain a clean, effective, and efficient athletic training facility.
  • Ensure timely and proper communication to appropriate parties.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Equip each team with appropriate medical supplies.
  • Follow up with athletes and coaches to complete reports for accidents and file reports with insurance companies.
  • Work collaboratively with the team physician, athletic training unit, athletic director, and coaches to provide technical services and information.
  • Promote the university's mission, philosophy, and vision, and advance the university's professional image.
  • Follow the BOC code of ethics and NATA best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head athletic trainer.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, science, or a health-related field.
Working Conditions

This position requires a lift test and is not eligible for benefits.
