Your Role

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician within our Manufacturing Operations division, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your role is vital in ensuring that all manufactured materials comply with stringent quality standards. You will play a key part in helping the Manufacturing Team achieve and surpass production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and servicing of existing tools and facilities by executing preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Develop and document preventative maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with process tooling and equipment.
  • Complete technical job summaries and maintain documentation for follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for onsite maintenance and repairs.
  • Identify critical spare parts and submit purchase requests as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Report safety incidents and near misses promptly.
  • Utilize internal systems to share insights and improve manufacturing processes and safety practices.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams on tool enhancements and future designs.
  • Provide constructive feedback to design engineering regarding serviceability considerations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental physics as it applies to pressurized fluid systems and energized circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
  • Experience in installing and replacing process instruments such as pressure, temperature, and flow sensors.
  • Proficient in conducting maintenance and leak checks on various piping systems including stainless steel tubing and flanged piping.
  • Able to mentor and train less experienced industrial maintenance technicians.
  • Experience with facilities equipment maintenance (HVAC, chillers, boilers, lighting, exhaust systems).
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as API, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
Physical Requirements
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional kneeling or bending may be required.
  • Must pass a respirator fit test and wear respiratory protection when necessary.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
Compensation

The starting base pay for this position ranges from $35/hr to $44/hr, depending on factors such as education, experience, and skills. This compensation is part of Sila's comprehensive Total Rewards package, which may include additional benefits, perks, and equity opportunities. The pay range is subject to change.
