Job Summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Clackamas, OR. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, as well as troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections on forklifts, CNC machines, welding equipment, and other facility requirements to ensure optimal production flow.
  • Collaborate with foreman leads to coordinate maintenance, repair, and calibration services for inside and outside facility equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a reporting log to track equipment performance, recommend repairs, and identify areas for improvement in reliability, yield, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for critical equipment and safety compliance, and train work crews as needed.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring activities in manufacturing areas, including routine cleaning and housekeeping to maintain environmental grade.
  • Maintain punctual attendance and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, prioritizing tasks to minimize production disruptions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and equipment inspections.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with specific expertise in forklift maintenance and repair.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding machinery for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of forklift systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical components, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to equipment maintenance and repair, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide support to colleagues as needed.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing maintenance tasks and documentation, with a commitment to quality and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts to support production schedules and address emergency situations as required.
