Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Technician to join our team at Group14 Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all equipment, machinery, conveyors, and valves in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work orders as required.
  • Ensure predictive and preventative maintenance activities are performed in a timely manner.
  • Work in a chemical manufacturing environment, including wearing a respirator.
  • Participate in new installations and modifications to existing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with valves, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • Manage multiple priorities.
  • Rebuild and install industrial valves and other piping components.
  • Rebuild industrial rotating equipment, including blowers, fans, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
  • Participate in design reviews, root-cause analyses, and the management of change (MOC) process.
  • Understand piping systems and their uses, including knowledge of and adherence to plant piping standards.
  • Operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
  • Prepare and review maintenance standard operating procedures, work instructions, and schedules.
  • Serve as an "on-call" technician during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as part of the call-out rotation.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and three to five years of related experience or equivalent combination of industrial maintenance experience and education.
  • Ability to productively, constructively, and effectively interface with other departments/personnel.
  • Understanding of Predictive and Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Good general mechanical aptitude and experience with HVAC, IR-thermal, ultrasound, vibration, baker testing, valve rebuilds, PRV, fabrication, facilities maintenance, controls, air compressor/dryers, RO systems, steam/heat recovery, mobile equipment, UPS, lubrication, orbital welding, machining, pipe fitting, pump rebuilds, robotics, and pipe wall integrity.
  • Understanding and conformity to safety protocols, including LOTO, Fall-Protection, Confined Space, and other life-critical safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, PFDs, P/IDs, blueprints, and manuals.
