About the Role
">This Administrative and Accounting Assistant role at the Diocese of Des Moines is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join our team. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will provide administrative support to the Chief Administrative & Finance Officer and staff, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
">Key Responsibilities

- Provide administrative assistance to the Chief Administrative & Finance Officer and staff, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and taking minutes.">
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases, utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or other software as assigned.">
- Process daily deposits and electronic files of contributions in a timely manner, collaborating with another Finance Department staff member.">
- Update the diocesan website for the Finance, Technology, HR & Facilities departments, ensuring accuracy and consistency.">
- Assist with various accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting, providing backup support as needed.">
- Support the staff of the Finance and Technology Departments, offering assistance and guidance when required.">
Requirements and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will require:

- An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, or related experience and/or training.">
- Two years of experience in an accounting-related field would be beneficial.">
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.">
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.">
- A strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.">
Working Environment
">The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and you will be required to sit regularly, use your hands to type and handle documents, and talk or hear frequently. You may occasionally need to stand, walk, climb, or balance, and lift up to 25 pounds.
">Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum
