Site Construction Manager

Position Overview: The Site Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site execution of construction projects, ensuring that all activities are organized, planned, and scheduled effectively to meet project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Project Manager or Project Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and engineers regarding daily construction operations.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project work schedules, highlighting critical paths and ensuring timely delivery of essential materials and equipment.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate all field personnel, including conducting performance reviews.
  • Uphold strict compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce the site safety program, ensuring all subcontractors adhere to safety regulations and standards.
  • Make informed decisions regarding work performance related to scheduling, logistics, quality assurance, and workforce management.
  • Coordinate activities among various trades to facilitate smooth project operations, addressing local issues related to procedures, design clarifications, and resource allocation.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and trade staff effectively.
  • Oversee the implementation of mock-ups and associated testing processes.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and insurance are secured and maintained throughout the project duration, acting as the liaison with inspection authorities.
  • Serve as the Stormwater Compliance Coordinator (SCC) in line with the Stormwater Compliance Program.
  • Administer the General Conditions and Requirements for the project to maintain budgetary compliance.
  • Oversee the billing process concerning Work-In-Place (WIP), including monthly work estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments.
  • Ensure all work is executed in accordance with the approved contract documents.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree combined with a minimum of four years of relevant training and at least eight years of experience in building construction is required, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction methodologies, and materials is essential. Familiarity with construction cost control and basic accounting practices is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to utilize advanced technologies such as Building Information Models (BIM) and Lean methodologies to enhance project outcomes are expected. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are vital.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually
