Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Movement Specialist to join our team at 1soi. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing transportation distribution, including HAZMAT, carrier selection/management, and tracking analysis in support of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct management and analytical support for transportation distribution, to include HAZMAT, carrier selection/management, and tracking analysis in support of daily operations.
  • Assist with customs clearance and door-to-door transportation of assets.
  • Provide a full range of distribution and transportation support for DoD programs.
  • Capable of learning all DoD transportation systems in support of program transportation mission needs, to include cross docks, Loaner Repair Return Center, Low Unit of Measure (LUM), MC-CBRN, Theater Lead Agent for Medical Materiel, and U.S. Air Force Reach-back requirements.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of field experience providing transportation management and consulting support, utilizing Cargo Movement Operating System.
  • Ability to address all forms of Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) shipping system and invoice/billing interface systems to account for payment of all items shipped.
  • Provide a full range of distribution and transportation support for DoD programs deployments to customers worldwide.
  • Capable of learning additional transportation systems in support of mission transportation needs as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or higher, or 4-6 years of on-the-job field experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation.
  • Exercise great initiative and independent judgment.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read the English language.
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and analyze new techniques, methods, and procedures.
  • Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
