The Director of IT will be instrumental in evaluating, refining, and executing operational strategies for our comprehensive suite of enterprise applications and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and leadership capabilities to ensure that technology initiatives are in sync with business goals and yield substantial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and analyze current business systems, processes, and workflows to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Formulate and implement a robust strategy for enterprise applications that aligns with the overarching objectives of the organization. Provide visionary leadership to cross-functional teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across departments to oversee the development, customization, and integration of critical enterprise applications, including GL, ERP, EDI, WMS, CRM, and other essential systems.
  • Define and uphold the architecture of enterprise applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to identify modernization opportunities within our application ecosystem.
  • Engage with external vendors, consultants, and partners to assess, select, and implement enterprise software solutions. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure quality service delivery and value.
  • Establish governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for the deployment and utilization of enterprise applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Promote a user-focused approach to application design and usability. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences, driving adoption and maximizing the value derived from enterprise applications.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability to achieve success in the enterprise applications domain.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands agility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in managing enterprise applications, with at least 8 years in leadership roles.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or business administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise software systems such as ERP (e.g., Syspro) and CRM (e.g., Hubspot).
  • Strong grasp of application architecture, integration patterns, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Solid understanding of User Experience principles and User Interface development.
  • Experience leading large-scale application implementations, upgrades, and migrations in complex organizational settings.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, delivering results, and navigating challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Syspro is advantageous.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary range of $150,000 - $175,000.
  • This position includes full-time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401k.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel between company facilities is necessary.

Work Location and Reporting Structure:

  • This role requires daily on-site presence.
  • The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
